As part of the implementation of a digital transformation programme, our client is looking to strengthen its team within the Application Development and Maintenance Division.

Missions

Job description

This position is part of a digital transformation initiative aimed at improving the performance, quality and agility of the Information System.

The DevOps Engineer will join the team responsible for the development and maintenance of our customer's business applications, giving them solid expertise in DevOps practices.

He or she will work in close and permanent contact with all the technical teams (management, architecture, infrastructure, network, operational security).

Main responsibilities

Supporting the DevOps transformation

  • Promoting and disseminating the DevOps culture within the development and operations teams;
  • Auditing existing systems and proposing a DevOps action plan ;
  • Ensure that solutions are aligned with market standards and best practice ;
  • Provide expertise and feedback to all our customer's teams;

Industrialising processes

  • Set up and optimise build chains, automate deployments, design and maintain automation pipelines for all environments;
  • Participate in the Technical Design Dossier drafting process;
  • Establish DevOps guidelines, document processes and best practices;
  • Participate in the drafting and present thetechnical approval filesfor the software factory to the CISO and the AMSN;
  • Ensuring that the software factory complies with security and performance requirements;

Guarantee the availability of services

  • Carry out application deployments and apply SQL scripts;
  • Maintain and develop the Ansible application deployment playbooks ;
  • Administer and manage CI/CD tool chain authorisations (Jenkins, GitLab, Git, etc.);
  • Participating in MCO/MCS operations for the Division's platforms and applications, analysing logs and querying databases;
  • Supporting the Application Managers in diagnosing and optimising application performance;

Other activities

As part of all projects within his/her operational scope:

  • Leading and/or participating in various project ceremonies (COPRO, COPIL, team meetings);
  • Creation and implementation of new tools;
  • Participate in periodic interventions in HNO for production start-up or patch management;
  • Participating in the continuous improvement of the Division's processes within a framework of quality of service to the Business Units.

His or her knowledge of software technologies and architectures will enable him or her to play an active part in the design phases of upgrades and corrections to all the solutions deployed on our client's IS.

Functional relations with other positions / Department(s)

  • Reports to the Head of the Technical Design and Development Section
  • Working with developers
  • Working with the Project Managers and Application Managers
  • Working across the board with all IT Department teams (infrastructure, network, etc.)

Profile

Required qualifications / Training

5 years' higher education in IT

Length of experience required

Minimum 7-10 years' experience in DevOps or integrator roles

Language

Professional English required, advanced level preferred - Experience with a major account or large public body is desirable

Know how

Technical skills

  • Solid knowledge of general information system technologies and architectures and N-Tier architectures;
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools and software factories such as Jenkins, GitLab, Git, Nexus, SonarQube, etc.
  • Knowledge of Ansible configuration management tools;
  • Scripting and automation (Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.) ;
  • SQL querying ;
  • Knowledge of the Java ecosystem : Maven, Spring framework and associated ecosystem;
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows Server operating system environments;
  • Knowledge of sensitive IS platform concepts;
  • Proven experience of working with infrastructure teams (virtualisation, architecture, system administration, network, backup, supervision);
  • Drafting and use of technical documents relating to a software platform requirement (scoping, technical specifications, DAT, DCT, DEX);
  • Ability to solve IT problems, identify causes, make corrections or propose workarounds;
  • RIDA report writing;
  • Mastery of office automation and collaborative IT tools;
  • Fluency in French;
  • DevOps certification is a plus.

Teleworking possible: up to 3 days/week subject to project and quality of service conditions.
