Linux Subnet Administrator (M/F) – Permanent Contract – Monaco

Our client’s project is a cornerstone of the Principality’s digital transition, and more specifically for the digital identity of Monegasque citizens and residents.

The successful candidate will join the Expertise Unit, which currently comprises seven people, five of whom are exclusively dedicated to managing this project. The organisation of the Expertise Unit will evolve by the end of 2026 to

enable the creation of an ad hoc structure. This will be divided into two units: a Compliance Unit and an Operational Unit, within which the successful candidate will eventually work.

The role involves implementing a secure infrastructure foundation spread across two different physical sites in an active/active configuration. The role focuses primarily on the physical deployment of the infrastructure and the initial configuration of the infrastructure foundation (storage, virtualisation, networking, backup and security).

Profile

The candidate must have excellent knowledge of infrastructure (networking, virtualisation, storage). Experience in deploying physical infrastructure in a highly security-sensitive environment is highly desirable.

You will have a higher education qualification in the field of information technology (IT, networking, telecommunications or cyber security )

Know how

  • Understand the key concepts and challenges of digital security, - Be able to design technical architectures,
  • Be able to draft documents such as technical architecture documents (TAD), flow matrices, operational documentation (OD), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), etc.  Previous experience of participating in an eIDAS audit and/or a security certification process would be an advantage
  • Be able to administer systems in most of the following areas:
    • Network switches (Cisco, FS)
    • Firewalls (Stormshield, OPNSense)
    • Storage (ZFS, NFS, CIFS, LVM, RAID)
    • Virtualisation (Proxmox Virtual Environment)
    • Backups (Proxmox Backup Server)
    • Monitoring (Zabbix)
    • SIEM (ELK)
    • Proxy (Squid, HAProxy)
    • Databases (including PostgreSQL)
    • Operating systems (primarily Linux Ubuntu and Debian)
    • EDR (HarfangLab)
    • Architecture security (Wallix bastion host, ModSecurity/Crowdsec application firewalls) Proficiency in using Ansible,
    • Familiarity with Terraform
    • Ability to produce reports

We would like the role to commence as soon as possible from 26 October 2026.
