GeoData Project Manager (M/F) – Fixed-term contract – Monaco (182JUNU)

To support the implementation of the Extended Monaco Programme, the Digital Services Department is seeking a GeoData Project Manager to develop applications, tools and methods for the use and exploitation of geographical data.

The GeoData Project Manager will join the Digital Twin team. They will manage projects and develop content and tools for the Government GIS in collaboration with member organisations. As part of their duties, they will be required to manage relations with service providers involved in GIS-related activities on behalf of the Government.

Missions

  • Monitor and support the Government’s business units in defining their functional and technical requirements, and draft the relevant specifications 
  • Design the solutions to be implemented in collaboration with technical and business teams 
  • Develop or oversee the development of GIS data models, tools and applications 
  • Manage contractual relations with external partners 
  • Help users to adopt the tools and familiarise themselves with their use 
  • Foster the government GIS user community 
  • Lead or supervise training on GIS tools for members of the Government 
  • Promote the GeoData policy amongst government departments.

Profile

Qualifications required

Hold a national engineering degree certifying five years of higher education or a qualification recognised as equivalent by a competent authority in the country where it was awarded.

Required experience

At least 5 years’ experience in project management. Experience in GIS functional projects would be an advantage.

Know how

  • Recent experience (within the last 5 years) of using the Esri software suite;
  • Possess the ability and skills to lead institutional GIS projects;
  • Proven skills in the structuring, processing and analysis of geospatial data;
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and coordinate activities with internal and external multidisciplinary teams;
  • Excellent analytical, synthesis and problem-solving skills;
  • The following would be an advantage: knowledge of programming and data processing tools (e.g. Python, SQL, FME), and experience in functional GIS projects.
