Senior project manager - Permanent contract - Marseille

Take over operational and methodological control of the project

• Structure and lead the multi-disciplinary project team (DEV, PO, QA, application architect)
• Set up a clear working framework: rituals, planning, prioritisation, progress control, reporting, etc.
• Guaranteeing that deadlines are met, the quality of deliverables and functional/technical consistency
• Identify bottlenecks, take swift action and ensure the teams' performance rises Steering and governance
• Structuring the project (planning, milestones, detailed roadmap batch by batch)
• Defining priorities, arbitrating issues and ensuring that decisions flow smoothly
• Set up effective rituals: short, structured Daily, weekly planning, weekly project committee, monthly steering committee, etc.
• Produce and present reliable, summary and decision-oriented reports for the IT Department.

Operational management of teams

• Supervising and coordinating the developers, POs, QA, technical referents of the two ESNs
• Clarify roles, expectations and individual and collective objectives
• Put an end to productivity drift through tight management Follow-up of tasks, commitment to workloads, compliance with deadlines, transparency about obstacles.
• Reframe if necessary, escalate rapidly in the event of repeated failings.

Methodology & quality

• Implement/reinforce a rigorous method (mastered Agile / short sprint / mastered Kanban, etc.).
• Validate the technical consistency of developments with the architecture defined by the IT Department
• Ensure the quality of deliverables: code review, tests, non-regression, documentation, etc.
• Secure the operation between versions V1 and V2 ESN relations and management of service providers
• Organise work with service providers: framework, objectives, workload, expected deliverables, etc.
• Demand performance in line with commitments (reinforced obligation of means)
• Alert the IT Department to any difficulties or repeated deviations.
• Propose corrective measures (reallocation, increase in workload, replacement of resources if necessary).

Expected deliverables

• Detailed roadmap (short/medium term) + overall planning by batch
• Weekly monitoring of developments (progress charts, KPIs)
• Monthly project dashboard for the IT Department (workloads, delays, risks)
• Plan to make up for current delays
• Methodological framework documented and applied.
• Measurable improvement in team productivity within 6 to 8 weeks. KPI

The future Senior Project Manager (M/F) must have successful experience (at least 7 years) on complex projects, ideally in an ERP context or bespoke business applications with supervision of 5 to 10 people.

Expected technical skills

• Knowledge of Symfony, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, API REST.
• Proven experience of managing ERP projects or complex business applications
• Understanding of modern architectures (Docker, Microservices, CI/CD)

Project management skills

• Mastery of project management tools (Jira essential).
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and structuring skills.
• Ability to manage outsourced and multi-site teams.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Clear, concise and factual written and verbal communication.

• Open-ended contract position, based in Marseille + teleworking depending on organisation, regular attendance required.
