Technical and functional project manager - Permanent contract - Monaco

Inforca Group is offering you this new challenge and is looking to recruit a TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL PROJECT MANAGER to ensure operational continuity in the management of current projects.

The Project Manager will be working on a strategic programme in the production phase. He/she will be responsible for the technical and functional coordination of interconnected systems (field equipment / PLCs, central supervision, business applications) and will manage the integration and flow issues between the IS components (network, supervision, security).

Missions

Main tasks/compulsory skills

  • Proven experience in managing and securing the production launch of a strategic programme with a strong technical component
  • Expertise in translating functional needs into technical requirements
  • Coordination of interconnected systems (interfaces, flows, interoperability)
  • In-depth understanding of IS architectures (applications, network, infrastructure, security)
  • Management of integration and flow issues between systems
  • Identifying technical risks, inconsistencies and points to watch
  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams (functional, developers, infrastructure, network, security)
  • Defining and managing a technical testing strategy (acceptance, integration, etc.)
  • Management of solution certification processes
  • Supervising the production and deployment phases
  • Organising the transition to the RUN/operations phase
  • Managing relations with suppliers
  • Producing and validating structured technical documentation

Possible activities (non-exhaustive list)

  • Managing the production launch of a strategic programme with a strong technical component
  • Coordinating the various technical and functional players involved in the project
  • Analysing business requirements and translating them technically
  • Identifying inconsistencies, technical risks and points to watch
  • Steering integration and interoperability work between systems
  • Participate in technical workshops (interfaces, flows, architecture)
  • Define technical acceptance criteria and test strategy
  • Supervise and validate the teams' technical deliverables
  • Steering and securing the technical acceptance and deployment phases
  • Acting as the interface between business and technical teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DBA, infrastructure, network, security, etc.)
  • Produce and maintain technical project documentation

Profile

5 years' higher education (engineering school or equivalent). At least 10 years' proven experience in managing IT projects with a strong technical component, including issues of integration, interoperability and bringing complex systems into production. Experience with a major account or large public body is desirable.

Know how

Expected technical skills

  • Solid expertise in the general technologies and architectures of an Information System and N-Tier architectures
  • Knowledge of application and IS security principles, and of the platform concepts of a sensitive IS
  • Linux and Windows environment, knowledge of SQL language
  • Drafting and use of technical documents relating to a software platform requirement (scoping, technical specifications, DAG, DCT, DEX)
  • Ability to solve IT problems, identify causes, correct or propose workarounds
  • Experience of project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Redmine, or equivalent)
  • Writing of RIDA reports
  • Fluency in written and spoken French, office automation and collaborative tools
  • Ability to alert and escalate
  • Ability to manage priorities and deal with several projects at the same time
  • Genuine ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Professional English

Desired skills (differentiating assets)

  • Experience in a GIS (Geographic Information System) environment, ideally applied to mobility issues
  • Experience in field systems/automation/supervision environments
  • Ability to analyse application logs and investigate incidents
  • Experience of APIs and interfacing mechanisms
  • Knowledge of deployment tools (Jenkins type, SQL scripts)
  • Experience in data management and modelling
  • Sensitivity to IS security and compliance issues
