Hi Amine, can you tell us more about why you chose to take part in the Ibexa Partner Event this year? Well, the venue looked great, with its view of the Champs-Élysées. It set the scene straight away!
Hello Alisée! Yes, I can confirm that the venue chosen for the occasion was great (see La Maison du Danemark in Paris). To answer your question: as PHP/Symfony/Ibexa Lead Developer at Inforca, I try to keep up to date with the technologies we use on a daily basis. Ibexa is a central DXP for several of our projects, and this event was an ideal opportunity to find out what's new, talk to the product teams, as well as other partners and developers in the ecosystem. It was also an opportunity to gain a better understanding of Ibexa's medium-term vision.

As for the organisation, what did you think of the format and general atmosphere of the event?
I thought the format was very well thought out: the presentations were clear and focused on concrete cases. The atmosphere was both professional and friendly. This really helps to strengthen the links between partners, and to share feedback in a transparent way.
From a technical point of view, what announcements or demos stood out for you the most?
I was particularly impressed by the demonstration of the new features in v5, notably the discounts in Ibexa Commerce.
Having worked on Ibexa Commerce since version 3, I can really see the difference: this new management of discounts - whether on the basket or on the catalogue - fills a major gap. There was no real native solution before. The strengthened integration with Symfony 7, and the advanced modularisation of certain bundles, also show that Ibexa is continuing to move in the right direction. We'll finally be able to take full advantage of Symfony 7.

Will some of these new features have a direct impact on your current projects at Inforca?
Yes, they will. For me, any major update inevitably has an impact on previous versions. The move from Symfony 5.4 to Symfony 7.x will clearly make things easier for us in a number of areas, particularly in terms of maintenance and performance.
With this new version, we will also be able to offer our customers complementary solutions such as Ibexa CDP or Quable for product management, which opens up new integration possibilities.
How do you see Ibexa evolving, particularly with version 5?
Ibexa v5 marks a real leap forward for the product, both technically and functionally. What particularly struck me was the native integration of Raptor CDP (Customer Data Platform).
This represents a real paradigm shift: Ibexa is no longer limited to content management, but is now moving towards complete management of the digital experience, centred on customer data.
Thanks to this integration, it is now possible to fine-tune user journeys, aligning content strategies with marketing challenges. This is a major development, which shows that Ibexa is moving from a modern CMS (headless, modular, extensible) to a genuine DXP focused on performance and engagement.

Brilliant! To conclude, what would you say to a developer who is hesitating to take part in this type of event?
I'd say that it's much more than just a product event.
It's a real opportunity to talk to the community, to ask questions directly to the Ibexa teams, and to be inspired by the best practices of other partners.
It allows you to take a step back from your projects, discover alternative approaches and come away with concrete ideas that you can apply. For me, it's a very worthwhile investment of time.
