Missions
- Your role as ERP Software Solutions Project Manager will focus primarily on ERP projects for Greenfields and/or Brownfield terminals.
- You will also be responsible for secondary activities related to other IT programmes/projects at marine terminals around the world.
- Your project management role will typically cover quality assurance and test management, change management, training, migration and deployment management and systems integration.
- Migration and deployment management: Ensuring the coordination of system deliveries and deployments with the customer and other IT systems in the customer's technology landscape via interfaces.
- System integration management: This includes close communication with all system suppliers and the development of risk management and disaster recovery plans.
- Training Management: Ensuring that all relevant users are trained as necessary to prepare them for their new tasks and business processes. Users must achieve the level of competence required to perform their new or modified roles.
- Ensure that the assigned software solution is protected in accordance with the company's information protection policies and standards.
- Drawing up and sharing regular reports on project progress, in particular by updating the Programme Management Journal (one PMJ per project) and dashboards.
- Working with a wide range of people: CEO, CFO, IT Director, Business Lead, Regional Managers, IT Architect, Enterprise Architect, IT Security Project Manager, Global Suppliers, etc.
- Facilitating communication and exchanges between the various players involved in the project (from the holding company, the regional zone and the terminal).
- Leading steering committees, project committees and other meetings. Ensuring the preparation of presentations and meeting minutes.
Organising the IT team
- Build, direct and monitor the team's action plan.
- Assisting all team members in their various tasks.
- Facilitating collaboration between all team members.
Areas of expertise / managing the production launch and post-production support phases
- To accomplish your tasks, you will be required to work with the ERP solution experts in the IT Terminals Group team, as well as with the business owners of the software solution.
- You are expected to gain a thorough understanding of the software solution you are assigned and develop a high level of expertise over the course of your assignment.
- As the ERP project manager for the assigned software solution, you are expected to work autonomously with minimal management supervision.
- Travel to project sites will be required on a case-by-case basis.
- You will be part of the IT Terminals group and report directly to the group manager.
Project management
At a minimum, project management includes business scope, budget, planning, dependencies, risk management, major decisions, action plan, etc.
- Ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on time while meeting business needs, objectives and design guidelines.
- Define and implement mitigation plans to manage risks.
- Identify the necessary decisions and prepare the elements to be submitted to management for decision-making.
- Build, direct and monitor the action plan.
- Ensuring proper execution of the contract with service providers: deliverables, activities, tasks, duration of tasks, processes, etc.
