Cloud Security Analysts specialise in protecting data and infrastructures hosted on cloud computing platforms. They analyse the company's information systems to detect vulnerabilities, assess the risks associated with the Cloud and implement security strategies.
Working with the technical teams and Cloud suppliers, they implement protection tools (firewalls, multi-factor authentication, data encryption, etc.). As security guarantor, they intervene in the event of an incident to analyse the causes, coordinate the response and reinforce defences to prevent further attacks.

Cloud Security Analysts are familiar with the main Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their security protocols (SSL, TLS, IPSec). They use firewalls, IDS/IPS and IAM solutions to secure Cloud environments. It is capable of carrying out security audits, identifying vulnerabilities and proposing corrective measures in compliance with standards and regulations (ISO 27001, RGPD). Their programming skills (Python, Bash) enable them to automate security tasks, so they can react more quickly to incidents.

The Cloud Security Analyst must combine a strategic vision of cybersecurity issues with an attention to the technical details of the Cloud. Their analytical and problem-solving skills enable them to identify risks and propose solutions to problems.
Organised and methodical, they know how to prioritise their tasks, even under pressure. They have the ability to synthesise information and draw up reports. His or her ability to communicate effectively with safety teams and stakeholders is an asset.

With several years' experience, Cloud Security Analysts can specialise further in IT security and become SOC analysts, security consultants or security architects. As they continue their professional development, they may progress to positions of responsibility, such as Head of IT Security (CISO) or Director of Information Systems Security (DSSI).
