Role of the ATM project manager

The TAM Project Manager is responsible for implementing software solutions dedicated to time and activity management within a company. He or she oversees the planning of HRIS projects, from their initial execution to their delivery.

As part of this role, the project manager coordinates different departments within the company in order to understand the needs of each. The requirements are passed on to the Payroll software developers to ensure that the solution developed meets expectations. In addition, they resolve any problems that arise and check the quality of the work carried out.

Tasks of the ATM project manager

  • He/she designs and deploys time management solutions by assisting with the development and implementation phases of projects.
  • He/she deciphers and summarises customer requirements in order to deduce specific time management needs.
  • It draws up budget estimates and commercial proposals.
  • It adjusts and refines time management systems through test cycles.

Competencies of the ATM project manager

Technical skills

The project manager has a good knowledge of the following tools:

  • Time and activity management software
  • Payroll software
  • ERP
  • Specific project monitoring tools.

Knowledge of databases and programming is appreciated. Finally, an understanding of the principles of project management is required to successfully carry out the tasks assigned (project planning, monitoring and control).

Soft skills

The project manager has analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong ability to communicate between all the players involved in the project (internal teams and end customers).

Study and training of the ATM project manager

A 5-year degree, such as a Master's in project management, human resources management or information systems, is required. More specific training in time and activity management software, such as certification in ERP tools or integrated management systems, may also be beneficial.
